East and West united! BHCR has just completed a 40′ steel bridge with the help of Lee Wilkerson and Wilcon Construction to finally provide unobstructed, year-round access across the creek. Over the past three years, a losing battle has been waged against the spring runoff and beavers to keep the culverts clear and functioning. After the third road washout due to a beaver blockage, our family got serious and called in the big guns to install an engineered bridge with massive abutments.

When we acquired BHC in 2004 its roads and bridges were in terrible shape. We’re still in the process of rebuilding them to make traversing our 900+ acres of land and creek easier.
